Respite

Now, respite had given me a vehicle
And all my things alone had had me
Smouldering on the soul: the lost veneer
And the colour of the text which slipped my mind
Since space had filled our life
And catalogues are born when you are near
The man had fucked the order
The body had followed and cried in fear
And did I console my lonesome?
Self is alight to drown the dateless
Sit down and sigh. Our love is all that puts us here
That ghost is brittle and gone today
Blanket smother ember dreg
Coldly displace all my rite
To repose, we hope to feel free
